Testimonials from Teachers & School Leaders
We’ve been partnering with schools for years to bring our Executive Functioning curriculum to their classrooms. Teachers have been able to integrate our 80 Built-Out Lesson Plans, covering 20 key EF Habits, into their classrooms in as little as 15 minutes per week.
Find out what some of these teachers & school leaders have had to say when we asked them about their experience with the Executive Functioning curriculum.
What are the benefits to using the Axiom LEAP curriculum?
There are targeted activities that directly align with student’s IEP goals. This curriculum also benefits anyone who uses it, whether they have an EF goal or not.
Having a curriculum available that we can adapt to better fit our model and students.
The curriculum is ready to use so I just need to modify them. That saves me time that I can use for the many other SPED teacher tasks.
I liked that this curriculum expanded my toolbox of lessons and strategies to try with my students. I always found teaching EF lessons challenging because there wasn’t a set “curriculum” so having the Axiom curriculum as a foundation for work with my students was very helpful.
My school’s Ed Specialists had struggled to create meaningful resources that would strengthen students’ executive functioning skills, and they wasted a lot of time trying to figure out the right intervention. Axiom provided meaningful and impactful research-based interventions.
What has gone well with the EF lessons?
Great content! Great to have a foundation to pull from!
It’s great to have words to describe the different EF skills, and how they look to kids.
Students have really benefited from the self advocacy module.
It allows my students to work independently on the lessons.
Having resources to draw from; having a vision of how this time could be used. It is clear a lot of time and thought has been put into the scope and sequence.
Students having a stronger understanding of what executive functioning means and the different components of EF! I had students take a survey that reflected on their strengths/areas for growth and they were really interested in this.
I feel better about...
Brain Warm Ups! Excellent opening routine for my class.
Some new ideas that I can implement in my classroom!
The fact the modules have lessons already created, it is helpful.
Knowing that my students had targeted lessons on their goals.
Being able to tweak and adapt the lessons to my students’ needs and to my own facilitation style.
Having a plan for how to support students with EF! It’s great to have some tangible lessons and strategies I can use with students rather than just drawing from my own toolbox. Having Axiom as a resource has been great!
