Module 5: Where Does All The Time Go? - Time Vortexes & Savers - Week 3
This is what you need to do in order to prepare for this week’s lesson. You are ready for this week when you have…
- Completed slides 15-16 of the Module 5: Where Does All The Time Go? – Time Vortexes & Savers – Slides and are prepared to facilitate discussion with your student using the Steps to Revisit slide as a guide
- Previewed the Mix & Match Activity
- Previewed the Mix & Match Activity Answer Sheet
These are the activities that your student will complete this week. This week your student will…
- Complete slides 15-16, which includes the Steps to Revisit slide, of the Module 5: Where Does All The Time Go? – Time Vortexes & Savers – Slides
- Learn to connect Time Vortexes with a preemptive or in-the-moment Time Saver by completing Mix & Match Activity
This week, we recommend that your student further integrate their familiarity with Time Vortexes and ability to identify and implement Time Savers. Have your student complete slides 15-16 of the Module 5: Where Does All The Time Go? – Time Vortexes & Savers – Slides. Use the Steps to Revisit slide as the guide for discussion about what they have already learned.
Then, your student should connect common Time Vortexes with effective Time Savers to better manage their time. Your student should use the Mix & Match Activity to plan a Time Saver to address each Time Vortex. Once they’re done, they can check their work with the Mix & Match Activity Answer Sheet.
You may notice that many of the Time Vortexes were intentionally written to have several appropriate Time Savers. It’s up to your student to identify which Time Saver would be most effective for them, either preemptively preventing the Vortex from occurring or quickly addressing the Vortex in the moment. The final part of the activity has also been left open-ended in order for your student to practice identifying several strategies to help them maintain their focus while working.
